Family business extends sponsorship
Wentronic remains a loyal partner of Basketball Löwen Braunschweig
- Strength and cohesion within the region
- Family business promotes young talents - in business as well as in sport
Brunswick, 07. October 2022
They are young, wild and hungry and it is precisely this dynamism that has infected Wentronic time and again for 22 years. That’s why the family business based in Brunswick is sponsoring the German national league team of the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig again in the upcoming season. Wentronic’s managing directors, Michael and Marcus Wendt, want to strengthen the region with their sponsorship and see team play and fighting spirit as common characteristics with the Löwen.
From the region, for the region
Reliable partnerships have been a priority in the corporate culture of the electronics wholesaler for 30 years now. Wentronic sees the extension of its sponsorship as a social obligation and a clear commitment to the region. Michael Wendt is an honorary member of the Basketball Löwen supervisory board and emphasises:
“Braunschweig is a traditional location for basketball and as a medium-sized family business in the Lion City we can and must make an important contribution. In these challenging times, we carry our values with us. Reliability and stability represent important factors in our foundation as a family business.”
Valuing young talent
Encouraging young talent is the first step towards a successful future – both on the court and in everyday working life. The individual strengths of each team member are recognized and developed at an early stage. At Wentronic, trainees, who are called “Talents” for a reason, are given responsibility right from the start of their training. As confirmation of this concept, Wentronic was awarded the TOP Training quality seal by the Brunswick Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In this way, the philosophy of Wentronic and that of the Braunschweiger Löwen go hand in hand. The unparalleled support and appreciation of each individual are fundamental. CEO Wendt adds:
“We are impressed by the fact that the entire team of the Braunschweiger Löwen – from the kitman to the manager – exemplifies respect and appreciation. True team spirit, as we love and live it at Wentronic. We want to support Dennis Schröder’s concept of relying on young talent as best we can. The dynamism and passion conveyed by this team is simply infectious. Something that is good for our society and serves as a role model for many young people.”
We look forward to the future with great joy, with strong partnerships by our side. We are excited about all the moments where we can continue to inspire each other.
